This is the camera. Maybe not this exact one. But I've decided that I really like Rollei. I don't really know. I just think they're pretty and cool. :)

i am a runner

I am going to become a runner! I'm so excited. I start training tomorrow! Woo hoo! No more being out of breath while running up the stairs! No more feeling week! I will be a "runner"! yeah! My big sister is so proud of me. She's a runner and it'll be like her dream come true for her baby sister to go running with her. Yay! Bonding time. It is good.

Something has happened to me as of late. I'm very excited about the bible! Everything I've been reading lately has been jumping out at me. As if all these secrets are being revealed. Things that I didn't see are being seen. Most of all there seems to be such a passion in me for the word that I thought I had lost. I'm very thankful for this passion. A renewed excitement for life and what God has for me!
One scripture that I found to be very cool is 1 Corinthians 2:5. It says, "So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God." I'm pretty much really excited! God is so good. Don't forget. :)

FEAR

"Fear"

1.an emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger (usually accompanied by a desire to flee or fight)

FEAR... It comes in many shapes and forms. The one I have been most familiar with and the one that I want to be, oh so familiar with, are complete opposites. I want to have no fear, but to fear God.

Deuteronomy 8:6
So you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and [reverently] fear Him.

Proverbs 8:13
The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord [includes] the hatred of evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, and perverted and twisted speech I hate.

This is the kind of fear I want.

One of the meanings for respect is, "a feeling of friendship and esteem". How great is that? The fact that your "fear of God" could result in "a feeling of friendship and esteem". I believe at times that our understanding of the Word and of God only goes as far as our vocabulary. Or our understanding of that vocabulary.

I pray Colossians 1:4 for all who read this. I pray that the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness. (AMP)

Leaving....

David and Jaron are leaving soon. Not sure when. A week? Maybe two? Ugh. I'm sad. I know in the long run that it will be good for them. They are going to a church down there called Bethel (www.ibethel.org). The church has a ministry school there as well. I don't know if they will go to that until September. So far, they are just going to the church, getting jobs, and focusing on God. I'm really excited for them. Jealous as well. I trust that the Lord is going to take care of them and love on them in the way they need. He knows. The thrilling part will be to see them when they get back! Maybe I'll get to go and visit! When David was on tour with Garage Voice they had stopped in San Francisco, he said they ate at a Chinese restaurant that was "amazing!". So, maybe we'll get to go there. hmmm....

When I was a munchkin my brother, sister, and I would take chocolate powder and sprinkle it over the vanilla bean ice cream. It was soo good! Sugary, but simply wonderful. I'm craving chocolate at the moment. I'm feeling the need. I also have some vanilla bean ice cream in the freezer. Sounds like a plan man! Except I don't have the chocolate powder. I guess I will settle for my brother bringing me a hot chocolate. yum. :)

yarn and the violin

I happen to love crocheting. I love it so very much! Sometimes I feel like all I could do is crochet. Ok. That and I love to play my violin. So, those two things I could be content to play with for the rest of my life I think. It would be wonderful! I've already started then.
